This 2009 Gibson Custom Shop Billy Gibbons “Pearly Gates” Les Paul is number 100 of only 250 VOS examples produced. Built as a detailed recreation of Billy Gibbons’ legendary 1959 Les Paul Standard, this limited model features a highly figured maple top, faded Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish, rounded ’59 neck profile, and Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbuckers. The VOS treatment gives the finish and nickel hardware a lightly aged appearance without the heavy wear found on the aged and signed versions. Period-correct details include a long neck tenon, lightweight aluminum stopbar, vintage Kluson-style tuners, CTS potentiometers, and Bumble Bee capacitors.
