About this item

The definitive edition of the high-speed "common-knowledge" game is here, featuring rapid-fire verbal challenges and a unique symbol-matching mechanic for the ultimate brain-scrambling experience. Anomia is based on the idea that our minds are full of random information—from pop songs to sandwich fillings—but the trick is shouting it out under pressure. In this fast-paced card game, players take turns flipping cards until the symbols on two players' cards match. The moment a match occurs, those two players must race to yell out an example of the category on the opponent's card. This edition focuses on "cognitive chaos," as the simplest categories become impossible to remember the second you're locked in a head-to-head face-off. Beyond the hilarious verbal stumbles, this version features two distinct decks, allowing for thousands of unique matchups and categories. The "Wild Card" mechanic adds an extra layer of tension, creating unexpected matches between different symbols and keeping everyone at the table on high alert. With its lightning-fast rounds and easy-to-learn rules, it’s a masterclass in social energy that proves even the smartest people can have a total "brain-blank" when the pressure is on.
