About this item

This Toob is a perfect gift for butterfly collectors young and old! It features 8 of the world's most beautiful butterflies, including a Red Glider, Green Swallowtail, Orange Barred Sulphur, White Angled Sulphur, Evenus Regalis, Anaea Clytemnestra, and a Papilio Garleppi. History: Often seen floating between flowers, butterflies are brightly colored insects that live off of the nectar in plants. Because butterflies emerge from their chrysalises (similar to a cocoon) during the warmer months, they’re often seen and represented as the heralds of spring and summer. Did you know that most butterflies use their vibrant colorations as defense? While you might think they attract attention, they actually scare predators off or help the butterflies blend into the flowers and fauna where they feed. Characteristics: Turn your house into a butterfly conservatory with these professionally sculpted figurines. As varied as they are colorful, these models are exceptional for observation and study, imaginative play, or as charming décor for a touch of spring and summer in your home! These figures also make awesome Montessori toys for lessons about nature and animals. Size: About the size of a standard American ruler, this Toob is 1.5 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 12.8 inches tall and contains 8 beautiful and vibrantly colored figurines that range from 1.25 to 3.75 inches tall and were meticulously designed to be as scientifically accurate as possible. All of our products are Non-toxic and BPA free 8 pieces per TOOB®. Contents Cannot Be Purchased Individually.
