The Collings DS2H pairs the open, airy voice of a 12-fret dreadnought with the warmth and depth of East Indian rosewood. Its longer body places the bridge closer to the center of the lower bout, producing a smooth, spacious response with plenty of headroom for flatpicking and fingerstyle playing. Based on the original dreadnought shape first developed as an oversized Hawaiian guitar, the DS2H retains a wide neck and slotted headstock while delivering a thoroughly modern playing experience. Its broad dynamic range moves easily from mellow accompaniment to biting leads. The 2-style appointments include ivoroid body binding and butt wedge, herringbone top purfling, a zipper backstrip, diamonds and squares fingerboard inlays, and an intricate 2-style rosette.
