About this item

Master the art of transformation and hold the line with the combined magical might of Merlin and Tiana. The Rise of the Floodborn Starter Deck: Amethyst & Steel (Might and Mimicry) showcases the unique "bounce" mechanics of Amethyst and the stalwart defense of Steel . This deck features the debut of the "Merlin and Mim" engine, where characters like Merlin - Shapeshifter and Madam Mim - Snake gain powerful effects when they enter or leave play. By returning your own glimmers to your hand and re-playing them, you can trigger repeatable abilities that keep your opponent off-balance. Supporting this magical trickery is the defensive backbone of Tiana - Celebrating Princess . With Steel’s focus on "Resist" and "Bodyguard" keywords, this deck is designed to survive heavy challenges and protect your utility characters while they set up your win conditions. Whether you're using The Prince - Never Gives Up to soak up damage or Merlin - Rabbit to maintain a massive hand advantage, this deck offers one of the most mechanically interesting and rewarding playstyles for players who enjoy "combo" oriented strategies.
