About this item

Forged at the intersection of crushing riffs and cosmic precision, the ESP LTD Joe Duplantier Signature JD-I is a sonic spacecraft designed for players who push beyond Earth’s atmosphere. Created in collaboration with Joe Duplantier—founding member, chief songwriter, and producer of French metal titans Gojira—this guitar marks his first-ever ESP signature model, engineered to channel raw power with surgical clarity. The JD-I is a uniquely reimagined take on ESP’s offset XJ shape, built for balance, speed, and interstellar resonance. A Macassar ebony fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets offers a smooth, durable surface built to withstand the heaviest gravitational pull.
