Built by Gonzalo Madrigal, this Custom Shop 1962-style Duo Jet has plenty of character before you ever plug it in. The Black Paisley finish reveals more detail up close, with a shimmering background framed by dark edges and aged gold hardware. The clear Gretsch pickguard lets the pattern show through, while the relic treatment gives everything a comfortably worn appearance. The chambered mahogany body and arched maple top bring together warmth, resonance, and a defined attack. A substantial Fat “C” mahogany neck gives your hand plenty to settle into, paired with an ebony fingerboard and medium jumbo frets. Mother-of-pearl thumbnail inlays keep the familiar Gretsch look, with red side dots adding a small custom touch. At 7 lbs 11 oz, it has a reassuring feel without being overly heavy. Curtis Novak Goldfoil pickups bring sparkle and clarity alongside the body and midrange presence that make a Duo Jet so enjoyable. T
