Harry Potter Collection The Thestral only manifests for people who have already had a brush with death. When it shows up, it's a bit creepy, as the thestral looks like a pitch-black horse skeleton with bat wings. Would you like a ride on this ghost horse? Maybe keeping your distance is not a bad idea.
