About this item

Related to one of the earliest prehistoric reptiles, the modern turtle hasn't changed much in its basic structure over millions of years. Twelve different turtles, each remarkable for "carrying its house on its back," are featured in this entertaining and educational little book. Fact-filled text tells you about the alligator snapping turtle, common mud turtle, leatherback, spiny softshell, and eight other species. There's also space on each page to apply an appropriate full-color sticker illustration.
