Tear up the asphalt and celebrate classic American automotive power with a compact demonstration of authentic piston mechanics. LEGO Technic: Hot Rod Car 30735 channels the roar of custom drag-strip cruisers into an accessible, mechanics-driven micro-build. Celebrating the timeless spirit of high-performance car culture, this set introduces builders to foundational mechanical linkages and kinetic engine design. The primary build objective centers on constructing an iconic open-wheel dragster: builders assemble a low-slung chassis, wide rear slicks on chunky tires, an exposed front-engine bay, and an integrated camshaft drivetrain that activates moving engine pistons as the vehicle rolls forward. The primary mechanical appeal stems from packing working automotive kinematics into a pocket-sized footprint. By pushing the hot rod along a flat surface, the axle rotation connects directly through internal gearing to drive exposed pistons up and down in conti
