About this item

Scream out answers in a frantic, high-decibel vocabulary race that utilizes a modular race-track board and a time-crushing category matrix for the ultimate team-based word-shouting showdown. Really Loud Librarians (published by Exploding Kittens) converts traditional, polite word puzzles into an absolute riot of volume and panic. Moving completely away from quiet, turn-based thinking or tactical tile arrangement, this party game forces teams into a simultaneous verbal sprint. The core objective is a test of rapid vocabulary recall under intense time pressure: players work in teams to shout out words that match a specific category, racing their physical librarian token around a track before the sand timer runs out. The primary hurdle lies in forcing your brain to find words that start with specific letters while your token actively circles the circuit. On a team's turn, a Category Card is revealed—such as "Things you can bounce" or "Brands you see at the supermarket". The central oval board functions as a dynamic track lined with random letter tokens. To advance your team's librarian standee, you must shout out a valid word that fits the category and begins with the exact letter your token is currently sitting on or next to. The moment you successfully scream a correct word, your token advances, instantly forcing you to solve for a brand-new starting letter. It is a masterclass in high-energy, high-interaction party design that translates simple anagramming and word association into an absolute explosion of table chaos packed into a brisk 20-minute session.
