About this item

Bring sensory play, nature play and imaginative outdoor learning together with the Round Potion Table by Naturally Inspired Play. Designed exclusively for Scholar’s Choice by early years experts and handcrafted in Canada from durable cedar wood, this inviting outdoor play table encourages children to gather, experiment, create and collaborate through open-ended, play-based learning. Featuring six round recessed play basins arranged around a spacious wooden tabletop, the Round Potion Table creates multiple opportunities for children to scoop, pour, mix, sort, collect and investigate. Fill the basins with water, soil, sand, flower petals, leaves, stones, pinecones and other natural treasures, then add spoons, scoops, jugs and loose parts to inspire endless sensory discoveries. From bubbling mud potions and flower soups to nature sorting, colour mixing and pretend cafés, there is no prescribed way to play. Children are encouraged to follow their own ideas and transform the table into whatever their imagination inspires. This open-ended approach supports creativity, curiosity, problem solving, communication and early childhood development while helping children build meaningful connections with the natural world. The table's round design also naturally encourages social and collaborative play , allowing several children to work alongside one another while still having their own area to investigate.
