About this item

Create lifelong memories this spring by raising and releasing your very own live butterflies! Budding scientists love this hands-on opportunity to learn about the magic of metamorphosis. Over the course of 3 weeks, families watch caterpillars transform to chrysalides, then to Painted Lady butterflies inside the pop-up 12" mesh habitat. After observation, release butterflies into the wild as pollinators! Kit also includes a chrysalis holding log, feeding dropper, instructions, and a 12- page STEM Butterfly Observation Journal filled with fun learning activities. This unique gift is one of our favorite spring activities for nature exploration, family bonding, and celebrating Earth Day! From Insect Lore, for ages 4+ yrs.
