About this item

Kroik paints the Hanukkah table from directly above, filling the frame with a feast of colour and tradition. A towering pile of sufganiyot dusted with powdered sugar and topped with ruby-red jam sits at the centre of the bright blue tablecloth, arms reaching in from every side. A wooden menorah blazes with colourful candles near the window, a second golden menorah glows at lower right, and a blue gift box printed with dreidels sits ready to be opened. Scattered across the tablecloth: spinning dreidels in red, blue, and green, golden gelt coins, a plate of crispy latkes, a small bowl of olives, a brass pitcher, wrapped gifts, and playing pieces mid-game. More dreidels tumble along the border of the composition in a cheerful decorative band. Beyond the table, the room glows with holiday warmth — a crescent moon and stars shine through a lace-curtained window into the blue night outside, framed paintings of a hoopoe bird and a golden Jerusalem skyline hang on the walls, and a vase of pink and blue flowers adds a fresh note to the celebration. At the very bottom, a brown dog and an orange striped cat crane their necks hopefully toward the sufganiyot. Kroik's bold, painterly gouache style makes every element in this 1000 piece Hanukkah jigsaw puzzle feel vivid, warm, and alive with festive energy. ????
